The Future of the HR Industry

The (R)evolution of technology leaves behind those people that cannot adapt and understand its benefits in our daily lives. Its use became so essential that it's even hard to imagine our lives without technology.

And among its many forms, Artificial Intelligence is the technology that most surrounds us daily, from small routines, such as getting directions, movie recommendations, or listening to music, to impacting people's lives, in the areas of health, safety, and business - by changing and innovating organizations and their processes.

The new technology can bring huge benefits to society, but first, we have to lose the fear of it.

Proposition:  AI can bring huge benefits to society, but first we have to know how to use it.

AI enables people to collect, read, extract all the important information and use the resulting insights to improve decision making. In the Recruiting process, AI is a crucial tool that optimizes and automates workflow, improves the quality of the result, and increases the hiring work performance.

But what should we expect from AI in the future for the HR industry? What is upcoming in this industry and how it may impact the worker, work, and workplace?

Let’s start by saying “Don't worry!” because Artificial Intelligence will not take the recruiter's place, however, an incredible amount of processes will be improved, optimized and automated making room for better connections and development. The HR industry has evolved and it’s important to keep up with it.

The opposite of what people imagine, technology will make the work environment more intuitive and humanized and the next trend is to focus on a good and long-lasting relationship with the employee.

With the new AI recruiting tools supporting the hiring process, the HR and talent managers have more time, ways, and insights to connect with their employees and help positively define their experience within the organization, and not just recruiting and onboarding procedures.

The employee experience starts when the candidate first engages with the company by applying for the job and it ends when they submit their resignation letter or retire. Every step of the employee life cycle can be improved with the emerging AI solutions, such as:

  • Defining what is the most effective ways to coach, manage and develop a specific employee by analyzing their personality and habits.
  • Assisting and keeping employees engaged in projects, with their co-workers, in the organization's culture and mission, and in everything else that involves the employee's day-to-day.
  • As well as, remediating negative situations, encouraging struggling employees, and rewarding the ones with the best attitude and performances.

All these can be important predictors of retaining or losing talent. -

We already know the matter and the costs of it.

Although it is obvious that AI is here to stay in several business areas, including the field of HR Management in the next few years. HR professionals must adapt to these new challenges, keeping ahead of the new trends and technologies as they evolve and change.
